Sun Bookkeeping & Consulting, Inc. exists to give small business owners clarity, confidence, and freedom through expert, personalized financial support.
Our founder Jaclyn Torrey brings over 15 years of experience in bookkeeping, financial management, and operations paired with a deep understanding of what it takes to run a small business. Raised in a family business, Jackie was inspired by her mother’s journey as a real estate appraiser and entrepreneur. Early on, she witnessed the challenges of juggling business ownership and family life, which sparked a lasting passion for supporting others on similar paths.
While working in her mother’s company, Jackie modernized its accounting systems and discovered a love for helping business owners gain financial clarity. That passion led her to earn a Master’s in Accounting from UMass Dartmouth, supported by a Massachusetts Society of CPAs scholarship. She went on to become Director of Operations at a growing firm, where she worked directly with business owners to streamline systems, train teams, and implement financial strategies that drove growth.
